JOHANN - ALOIS - KASPER

BUTLER JOHANN:

Born on the 19 Mar 1868 Sins, Aargau, Switzerland. Before coming to N.Z Johann was a butcher. He departed for London on 31 August 1893 aboard "SS Arawa" then on to Wellington (N.Z) at the age of 25 before travelling on to New Plymouth. Johann married Victoria KLENNER on the 3rd Jul 1899 at the Catholic Church Inglewood.

Three of Johann's sons served in WWII; Albert, Frank, and James.

BUTLER ALOIS

Born on the 3 Nov 1870 in Sins, Aargau, Switzerland. Alois married Marie Anna LIEB on 22 May 1892, at St Peters Kappelle, Luzern, Switzerland. He brought his family to New Zealand in Dec 1902 aboard "Konigin Luise" when he was age 32.

BUTLER KASPAR

Born on the 12 Dec 1875 Auw, Aargau, Switzerland. Kasper migrated c1901 according to application for naturalization papers. Kaspar married Josephine (Josie) LEUTHARD in Inglewood on 1 Jun 1925.

Johann died on the 27 Feb 1950 in Tariki New Zealand age 81 and is buried in Inglewood Cemetery.

Alois died on the 26 Dec 1933 aged only 63. He is buried in Inglewood Cemetery Taranaki, New Zealand.

Kasper died on the 11 Dec 1951. He is buried in the Inglewood Cemetery beside his dairy farming partner Frank Rust.
